Taking pictures yesterday I realized how my hair had grown over the few months of using homemade recipes and non store-bought products. Having a big chop in december last year and seeing this growth over the few months ,I am over whelmed and i decided to take a breath and blog about what i did to experience such massive growth. Now am regretting not taking a picture when i had the big chop to show the difference and growth as i log about it now. Well lesson learnt from now, i will document every journey of my hair.
This homemade diy is basically what I use for deep conditioning my hair. I picked up the process from one you tube video I watched sometime back after the big chop and i was got depressed over my hair not growing. what i love about this diy is, the ingredients. they are easy to get and are affordable. When the recipe in used in hair , it stretches it, gives it strength and prevents breakage. It has been my go to process for deep conditioning twice in a month but when you are looking for a faster results start with once a week .
The ingredients are basically food products , yeah food, I was reluctant in the beginning but fell in love with it after I experienced the process. If you are reluctant , look at the health benefits of the ingredients and decide.
1.Avocado
Avocado helps rejuvenates and moisturize the scalp. A rich source of protein, amino acids and vitamins helps soothe the scalp and promotes long, strong and healthy hair.
BananaBanana rules for dry and flaky hair hair,it keeps hair hydrated and healthy. With regular use, banana in your hair mask can increase moisture content in your hair, smooth frizz and soothe itchy scalp.
2.Honey
Honey works hand in hand with the banana by retaining moisture content in hair and strengthens hair follicles for healthy growth.
3.Mayonnaise
Mayonnaise moisture and nourishes hair. The vinegar present in mayonnaise maintain a healthy ph which in turns restores damaged hair.
4.Olive Oil
Olive oil is good for moisturizing. You will need the below quantities of the above listed ingredients to make this mask. and pls note if you are preparing this mask use the quantities that ill be enough for your hair.
1 avocado
2 banana
2 tbsp of mayonnaise
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp of olive oil
A little water.
Blend all ingredients together for a smooth thick paste. Massage in your hair, from root to tip massaging in scalp. After cover with a shower cup and wait for an hour before washing off with your shampoo.
Give feedback when you do try and i will appreciate new diys recipes for hair growth in comment down below.

I have very curly hair and have always had trouble growing it. It is shoulder length, but has never really been any longer for the last 20 years… I may have to try your magic recipe, to see if I can give it a boost. Ali

you should try it dear, i assure you will see a difference if you are consistent as least twice in a month. if my Afro African hair could grow that much with few months of trying this, i could vouch for it ten folds.
